Do you have cabin fever? Are you ready for spring to get here?
This rough winter weather can be a real bummer during the semester. You may find yourself not wanting to study or do your homework. The XXII Winter Olympics, Netflix and hot cocoa are probably your best friends during this winter season. I am here to tell you even though Jack Frost and Mother Nature are not showing us much sympathy; you still need to stay motivated in doing your school work. Summer will be here in the blink of an eye and once it does get here, you will be so proud that you kept your focus and stayed motivated throughout the semester.
The best way to keep yourself motivated is to reward yourself when you do well. If you study for two hours, reward your hard work with a steaming cup of hot cocoa. When you get an “A” on an exam, treat yourself to a movie. Another way to keep motivated during this bitterly cold and snowy winter is to set a long term goal. When you reach your long term goal, you can reward yourself with something extra special during summer break. Tell yourself, “If I make President’s/Dean’s List, I will go to the beach for a weekend!”
If you stay motivated and work towards a goal, these cold winter days will be gone before you know it. Now go set a goal and STAY WARM.
